What makes playground turf different from regular artificial turf?

Playground turf is built for heavy, repeated foot traffic and is installed as a system rather than as a surface alone. It drains quickly, holds an even finish without bare patches, and keeps its appearance under constant use.

How do play mounds enhance playground experiences?

play mounds add three-dimensional topography to flat playground surfaces, creating tunnels, hills, and varied terrain that encourage exploration and imaginative play. These features challenge children physically and mentally while providing opportunities for creative play scenarios.

How is playground surfacing specified for a children's play area?

We specify playground surfacing against the fall height of the equipment it sits under, and confirm the rating for your installation before work begins. Ask any installer what fall height the system is rated to and what build-up achieves it.

How long does playground artificial turf installation take?

Installation time varies based on project size and complexity. A 1,665 square foot installation with custom play mounds typically takes several days to complete, including site preparation, turf installation, and integration of three-dimensional features.

What maintenance is required for artificial playground turf?

Artificial playground turf requires minimal maintenance compared to natural grass. Regular removal of debris, occasional rinsing, and periodic brushing to maintain fiber alignment are typically all that's needed to keep the surface looking and performing its best.
